DEPARTMENT OF MISSIONS

MI 101 INTRODUCTION TO MISSIONS 1.5 hours

A study of key considerations of missions, the world view of missions, man’s state before God, man’s need of a Saviour and a brief look at God’s missionary activity in the Old and New Testaments.

MI 102 THE COMMAND OF MISSIONS 1.5 hours

A comprehensive study of the call to service issued by God to the believer, the key considerations to realize a call, and steps to fulfill a call to service.

MI 205 INDEPENDENT STUDY 1.5 hours

A semester study of an assigned subject approved by the Department Head. The curriculum and assignments will be designed by that officer for the student.

MI 250 MISSIONARY PRINCIPLES & PRACTICES I

1.5 hours

A comprehensive study of the life of Paul, his ministry, motivation, methods and practices as a basis for missions today

MI 255 MISSIONARY PRINCIPLES & PRACTICES II

1.5 hours

A course of study to present key factors to consider in preparing to go to the field, upon reaching the field, warning signs of culture shock and how to deal with it

MI 305 FAITH PROMISE MISSIONS 1.5 hours

A course to prepare the missionary or minister in the steps to institute faith promise missions programs and a Biblical basis from Scripture to uphold it.

MI 350 MISSION BOARDS – A BIBLICAL BASIS

1.5 hours

A study designed to show the Biblical basis of

mission boards, their purpose and aspects of their duties

MI 400 TYPOLOGY OF MISSIONARIES 1.5 hours

A study of the different types of mission programs such as friendship missions, medical mission, and the Biblical aspects of each as compared to the great commission.

MI 450 MISSIONARY INTERNSHIP I 3 hours

A course of internship in a local church as a full-time worker preparing to go to the mission field. Evaluation reports will be made by participating pastor and TVBS & C

MI 455 MISSIONARY INTERNSHIP II 3 hours

The completing of the internship in a local church as a full-time worker preparing for the mission field. The course will be structured as MI 450

MI 48-489 Special random course offerings

MI 505 GRADUATE INDEPENDENT STUDY 1.5 hours

Independent study for the graduate student under the direction of the Department Head.
